The Versitron is a unique hardness testing system which provides its users with the benefit of the top-loading and test surface referencing technology. Applying both the pre-load and full load in one single test cycle makes it possible to perform a test in as little as 4 seconds!

An Industry Standard Improved
The new generation of Versitron imparts a level of accuracy, repeatability, speed, reduced operator influence and large part capability not found on any other tester in the world.

New Full Colour Touch Screen Display
The Versitron hardness tester have been improved with a full colour, icon driven display that facilitates easy and intuitive navigation. Test results are now shown in a large font size making them easy to read. The display is dirt and oil resistant and is easily cleaned. The new interface is designed to last in even the harshest environments.

From Production Floor to the Lab
The Versitron tests in full conformance to the ASTM E-18, DIN, EN, ISO and other applicable standards and is ideal for applications ranging from high volume to sampling, from production floor harsh environments to the lab and from testing large or awkward shaped parts through precise small part testing applications.

Accurate and Easy to Operate
This Rockwell hardness tester enjoys the added benefit of an elastic member loading system which produces a natural dampening effect in the application of all loads, eliminating the need for dashpots and other load impact controlling devices. The top-loading and test surface referencing test process makes testing as simple as pulling a lever and serve to reduce or eliminate part deflection and operator influence during each test. This assures an accurate, consistent test result each and every time, whether you are testing thousands of small parts or one enormous one.

Clamping Makes Testing Easier
The top loading / test surface referencing test process imparts to the Versitron its truly unique part clamping ability. Unlike any other hardness testers which offer clamping as an afterthought add on, the Versitron’s clamping ability is an inherent part of the tester and provides users with the ability to clamp and hold parts in place prior to testing with up to 240 ft/lbs of clamping force. The Versitron’s clamping ability is completely independent of any applied test loads and thereby eliminates the effects of part movement or deflection before any test loads are applied. The clamping has no effect on the test results.

Diamonds are Forever
The unique indenter shroud secures that the test surface reference is constant and remains unaffected by dirt or foreign objects. A hair under a test block can completely ruin most tests’ results but the Versitron remains accurate.

Maintenance has Never Been Easier
The Versitron’s “Dial in Calibration” feature allows users to maintain fine tuned accuracy through standard test block verification procedures (in accordance with ASTM E-18), without the need to call in an outside technician.

Like many of the other hardness testers from Newage, the Versitron also offers users the benefits of a modular construction design. This enhances the Versitron’s reliability and ease of maintenance and allows customers to “build” a system with components that specifically match their requirements.  A complete system is made up of at least one test head and one test frame, and can be ordered in a fully automatic version through the simple addition of a pneumatic or electric test cycle drive.

Exportable Data
The Versitron records and stores test data and can provide on screen statistics such as X-charts, ranges and max/min during the test. Test results are shown in a large font size on the intuitive display and include pass/fail limits. Test results are easily converted into other hardness scales and can be exported directly to DataView for further analysis or as a CSV file.

The new generation of Versitron is CE marked and ready to impress you!
